Chaz Freutel

Chaz Freutel grew up in Upper Arlington in a competitive family…raising and showing German Shepherds (Junior Showman at Westminster), racing Corvettes (raced at Powell Speedway, Mid-Ohio, and Indy), as well as a number of sports on his own. Chaz suffered a back injury when he was 12 that prevented him from contact sports and through Boy Scouts was the first in Ohio to achieve Roller Skating Merit Badge. His Coach, Larae “Tulloch” Helsel, encouraged him to join the United Skates of America competitive team and Chaz became an Artistic Roller Figure and Dance Skater. He earned state, regional, and national titles before retiring and heading to Wittenberg University.

Chaz Freutel is blessed to have served and currently serve many wonderful organizations. Chaz started his business, Get-U-Connected, in 2009 to connect small business owners with the people, products, and services they need to succeed. Some of his more recognized clients include The Dublin Entrepreneurial Center, commonly known as “The DEC,” Marysville Entrepreneurial Center “MEC,” and Ohio Christian University Business Innovation Center “OCUBIC.”

Chaz has a passion working with kids, coaching soccer for over 20 years with Ohio Premier Soccer Club, helping middle and high school students launch their own businesses with Young Entrepreneurs Academy “YEA!,” and teaching Sunday School “Impact” with Encounter Church.

Chaz lives in Dublin with his college sweetheart, Laurie. They have two daughters, Meghan (Dallas, TX) and Amanda (Westerville, OH), both graduates of The Ohio State University.

Vince Workman

Trainer at Peak Human Performance

Vincent Workman (born May 9, 1967) is a former professional American football running back who was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 1989 NFL Draft. Workman played eight seasons in the NFL from 1989 to 1996 for the Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers and the Indianapolis Colts. Prior to his career at Ohio State University,

Vince Workman attended Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio, where he still owns all but one rushing record from his tenure in 1982-1984. Vince was a three-year starter at running back and wide receiver while Ohio State and was Team Captain in 1988. Vince worked for the Packers as a Pro Scout and Strength Coach from 1999-2006.

While with Green Bay in 1992, Workman was the starting running back in the September game that is famously known for being the week that QB Brett Favre made his NFL game debut replacing the injured QB Don Majkowski. The Packers claimed victory 24-23 in a comeback win over the Bengals at Lambeau Field where Favre threw for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to complete the rally. Vince is the owner of the Green Bay Packers’ team record for most catches by a running back in a single game with 12 in 1992 vs the Minnesota Vikings.He also owns the Carolina Panther record for most receptions by a running back in a game vs the LA Rams in 1995. He is the only Packers running back to catch 12 in one game.

Katy Jones

Dance Instructor and Realtor 

Katy has been dancing since the age of 3 and holds a Bachelors degree in teaching dance. Katy  grew up learning modern ballet, tap, ballroom and line dancing in England.  On moving to the U.S. Katy was introduced to West Coast Swing and Country Two-Step and has compeated, judges and taught throughout the States. Katy is also the founder of the IUPUI Swing Cats, a university performance and dance group that has been running for 15+ years.

Today dancing is a social and fun outlet for Katy while she focuses on raising her son (7) and selling all kinds of houses to all kinds of people all over Columbus. 

This is Katy’s 2nd year as an instructor for the foundation. She is very excited to create another show stopping fun and exciting dance routine with her partner to raise funds for such a fantastic cause.

Colton Hutton & Liz McGiffin

Colton Hutton

Dance Instructor

Colton is a professional dance instructor that echoes love by empowering women and couples to feel beautiful in everything they do, to have confidence with every step, to always lend a helping hand, and to own the space they walk into through dance. Colton has been dancing for over 15 years in partner dances with a specialization in Ballroom. Colton teaches students from all over the US and continues to empower through the virtual studio to give every person the opportunity to experience happiness through dance. The Virtual Dance Club and the online platform “Who’s Ready to Dance?!” are the best ways to connect with Colton. His favorite dance is Disco because that’s how his parents met.

Liz McGiffin

Meteorologist at NBC4

Liz McGiffin is a meteorologist at NBC4 in Columbus. 

Liz earned her degree in atmospheric science, and minored in math at University of Missouri.  She started doing TV weather at the local NBC affiliate while she was a still a student, and made her first on-air appearance her sophomore year.  Her career has taken her from Missouri to Oregon and how to the Buckeye State, where our crazy weather keeps her busy! 

Liz grew up golfing, swimming, dancing, and being involved with as much as possible!  As far as dance experience goes, Liz grew up doing just about everything that her dance studio offered including ballet, modern, jazz and tap. 

While she was living in Oregon, Liz started taking west coast swing dance classes.  She hasn’t had a chance to learn about other partner dances, but loves the opportunity to get connected to people through dance.

Liz is a member of the American Meteorological Society, and has served on several committees including ones that help to plan part of the annual conference.  She loves giving back to her community, and her family hosts an annual golf tournament that raises money for Head For The Cure.

Hi, I am Przemek, friends call me “Shem”. Originally from Poland, I started dancing career back in 1995. I trained and danced competitively from a young age, specializing in International Ballroom and Latin. My determination and energy have led me to win many important titles in my home country as well as in Europe before moving to the England in 2010 to follow my dream.

With the arrival of Pro-Armature competitions in Europe, I was able to compete with my students allowing them to win in their categories at prestigious competitions including The Salt Cup in Poland, Crown Cup in Lithuania and the first UK Pro-Am competition held at Blackpool.

In 2016 I moved to Columbus, Ohio in America to to continue me career and compete professionally. I challenged myself to learn new genres including American Smooth and American Rhythm and I became a finalist at American Smooth Rising Stars competitions. I also compete with my students achieving many top results at Pro-Am competitions including the Top Studio/Teacher award.

Now with more than 10 years teaching experience, my commitment to learn allowed me to continue my success. My strong communication skills, positive yet compassionate attitude to teaching along with my flexibleapproach to the individual needs of each of students, help them to build their own strengths not only on the dance floor but in their professional and private life as well. Ella Glasgow

Ella Glasgow is an award winning vocalist, 2 time bestselling author, speaker and biz & life coach for creatives. She’s also the wife of an amazing pastry chef and mommy to a precocious 5 year old.

Known as The Dream Ignitor, she’s on a mission to pull up on the greatness in people to help them not only uncover their dreams, but help them finally know how to make it possible to bring them to life.

When her son was born in 2015, she realized that she had been holding back on her own dreams. As she looked into those precious eyes, she knew she didn’t want to one day say to him, “baby, you can do and be whatever you want to, but mommy can’t.” From that point forward, she has been working toward her dreams and working with and encouraging others to do the same.

Chris Hawker is an inventor, entrepreneur and life coach. He has over 20 years of experience leading creative teams in developing innovative consumer products, through his company, Trident Design, LLC.

Having brought dozens of products to market, he is an expert in innovation and creativity. He coaches entrepreneurs, executives, authors and creatives in living their vision. He is cofounder of Next Level Trainings, and the VIP trainer in Residence.

Sarah Rosekelly

 

Sarah has been passionately devoted to practicing and studying the Arts her whole life. In 2001 she began studying Ballet, Jazz, and Tap dancing. Having her first “partner dance experience” in 2008 getting lifted up above the heads of “dumb” high school boys in classical ballet Pas-de-Deux.

In 2013 while studying Fine Arts at Bowling Green State University, she discovered Swing dancing and immediately fell in love with it; gravitating towards its mix of structure and improv. After graduating, moving to Columbus, and dabbling in the Arts, Sarah realized another love: teaching.

She currently instructs dance at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Columbus and dedicates her time and energy towards her students (and the occasional painting or two).

One of her goals in life is to share the joys of dancing with as many people as possible, regardless of: class, race, age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and disability.
